Here’s a novel idea: toss your phone into a condom and put it away so you don’t get yourself killed or hurt in an accident. Well, not those condoms, but the Phone Condom created by Fatalvision.com. In an effort to promote safe driving – and make a fat wad of cash at the same time – the company is pushing these little zippered baggies as a reminder that you should put your phone away whilst behind the wheel. Bag it.
We’ve already seen the dangers of texting and driving in an AT&T promo recently, but sometimes you need to set these limitations on yourself. It’s like those of us at work who spend all day on Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter and other social networking services – software designed to block us from those sites for a predetermined length of time is laughably necessary sometimes. I just don’t want any of you succumbing and driving while trying to pull your phone out of the zipped up bag.
The baggy comes with a number of taglines and puns: Park your phone, drive your car; Prevent unwanted crashes; Zip it, lock it, keep it in your pocket.
The only downside is that you have to buy these things in bulk for $1.99 each. There are two types: mature and teen. The differences are in the text emblazoned on the bag. Because your innocent youngsters might not know what a sexy pun means.
