DivX video player for iPhone CineXPlayer 1.6 rocks improved TV out support, better UI

NXP Software — which we usually don’t know for their iPhone applications — updated its video player app for the iOS-powered devices – CineXPlayer. Touted as an alternative to the “loved by the geeks” VLC Player, CineXPlayer provides users with DivX and Xvid playback capabilities on their beloved gadgets, without any need to convert the video files to QuickTime or MPEG4.

Version 1.6 comes with an enhanced user interface, which is now cleaner and more minimalistic. Moreover, the app functionality was improved to provide users with more control like locking the screen so it doesn’t rotate when the device is moved around, resume watching videos from the moment it was stopped and the ability to manage the video collection from within the app.

Perhaps more important, CineXPlayer 1.6 comes with enhanced video output support, allowing users to watch their favorite movies on the large screen and “enjoy the high quality experience.”
