HTC long-ago promised to release a graphics-improving update to appease disgruntled customers complaining of lackluster video performance. It’s been a long wait, and after a recent announcement that HTC is still working on that promised graphics software update for its higher-end Windows Mobile smartphones, there are new rumblings that HTC getting set to release the graphics driver update for its HTC TyTn II (Kaiser).
Word on the street has it that the HTC TyTn II will be getting a ROM update from HTC in the near future – most likely this month, and possibly next week! Unfortunately, AT&T Tilt (the AT&T-branded version of the HTC Kaiser) won’t be included in the ROM update – only HTC-loyals with unlocked HTC TyTn II’s will be getting that long-awaited software update.
More worrying is the fact that HTC looks to be crafting a software release for the HTC Kaiser alone. With no “future updates for any other phones that might have these graphic issues,” lucky HTC TyTn II owners might be the only HTC customers getting a slight bump in graphics performance.
