It seems that O2 has found a way to keep the users on its network. Apparently, they are offering their UK users, which are threatening to switch networks, an affordable flat rate Internet access for as little as 10 GBP per month. New subscribers are charged anything from 50 to 220 GBP for the same service.
Other carriers in the country, including T-Mobile and 3 are already offering the similar services, and it’s more than likely that all operators on the Island will follow this tactic.
Sooner or later, users in the UK (and all across the World) will have quite affordable Internet access from their handsets, no matter which carrier they pick. For a start users will just need to rumble about how unsatisfied they are with the existing service, letting the carriers bribe them.
Don’t you just love how the market competition benefits the end users. 🙂
