Sonim Technologies announced a new member to its family of tough and rough devices – Sonim XP3300 FORCE. What sets the new Sonim phone apart is the super long talk time which, at 20 to 24 hours, is said to be the longest in the world.
Like some other Sonim phones, the XP3300 Force is also a Rugged Performance Standards Certified (RPS) device, surpassing the military specifications for ruggedness. It can withstand water, dust, salt, fog, humidity, transport and thermal shocks, drops from 2 meters onto concrete and continue to operate in temperatures ranging from -20 degrees C to +55 degrees Celsius.
Specs wise, this rugged baby comes with a 2-megapixel camera with bright LED flash, 2-inch screen that’s protected by a 1.5mm thick Corning Gorilla Glass lens, professional-grade Assisted GPS and EDGE data.
Sonim is pitching the new device toward companies whose employees can work through the long 16-hour shifts, often in awful conditions. The XP3300 FORCE is made with safety in mind but also to maximize workforce efficiency and minimize downtime in industries such as transportation, logistics and utilities.
