webOS fans who don’t want to wait for the HP Pre 3 or perhaps the Veer may go for the Pre 2 in the meantime. The webOS 2.0-powered device is landing on Verizon Wireless tomorrow (February 17th), when you will be able to grab it for $149.99 after a $50 mail-in Verizon Wireless rebate and with a new two-year customer agreement.
As you know, the Pre 2 is pretty much the same as the original Pre, rocking important changes under the hood. The new webOS smartphone comes with much faster TI OMAP 1GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, contact integration via HP Synergy and a new version of webOS. Rest of the specs remain intact and include a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, 3G (EV-DO Rev. A), WiFi, 3.1-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen, GPS that sings along VZ Navigator, 3G Mobile Hotspot capability and so on.
The HP Pre 2 will be available in Verizon Wireless Communications Stores and online…
