Trimble is bringing 3 of its outdoor and fitness GPS apps to select Verizon feature phones, including Samsung Alias 2, Samsung Convoy and Nokia 7705 Twist. Without further ado, here’s what they got:
- AllSport GPS – which lets people track workouts, including runs, bike rides, walks, and more from their mobile phone. The application collects more than 20 heart-pounding stats such as calories burned, miles and speed. After the exercise, you can analyze results, store workouts and share training sessions with friends on AllSportGPS.com and Facebook.
- Geocache Navigator – which provides users with instant access to 1.2 million treasures (called geocaches) hidden around the world. Geocaches can be found everywhere, in places like local parks, neighborhoods or at far away locations. You can see caches on a map, read clues and report finds from a mobile phone to geocaching.com.
- Trimble Outdoors – touted as an app that turns a mobile phone into an outdoor navigator, it’s made for hikers, backpackers and off-roaders. Users can track routes on various maps, while collecting waypoints, photos, and audio clips along the way.
