What’s with Germany getting their hands on the HTC Touch Diamond and HTC Touch Pro hotness before anyone else in the world? Whatever the reason, O2 has announced that it’ll be picking up the newly announced HTC Touch Pro (Raphael) as part of its XDA lineup of smartphones. This means that Germans will not only be privileged enough to get jiggy with
the HTC Touch Diamond, but will also be fortunate enough to choose between the Diamond’s keyboard-less form-factor and the HTC Raphael’s slide-out keyboard.
Thankfully, O2 has decided to leave HTC’s design work alone – for the most part. The O2-branded HTC Touch Pro will apparently look just like all those HTC Raphael press shots, but with a soft-touch rear panel replacing HTC’s handy-work.
So, it looks like German’s will have to decide between T-Mobile or O2, depending on just how important that slide-out keyboard is to them.
