As expected, Cobra announced earlier this week that it is bringing its popular iRadar product to Android soon. The system uses a Cobra radar detector that connects to your Android handset via Bluetooth. The portable unit sends information to the free Cobra iRadar application. The system will send radar/laser alerts to your handset, send alerts of photo enforcement locations as well as let configure the radar detector. In the future, users will be able to share radar information with other users, a crowd-sourcing feature that allows the radar database to be updated on a real-time basis. The Android version of this system will be available in April. Pricing has not yet been announced but the iPhone models retails for a reasonable $129.
