appMobi enhanced its mobile app ecosystem solution with the addition of four mobile web services. Without further ado, here’s what they got:

  • 1Touch Frictionless Payments – Allows for in-app purchases within apps or websites through a secure mobile wallet on the device and a few lines of HTML code. Unlike Apple’s and Google’s solutions, appMobi supports the buying of physical goods. The payment processing is conducted through integration with payment gateways such as Authorize.Net and PayPal, and with carrier billing.
  • pushMobi Multimedia Push Notifications – appMobi’s solution supports rich media messages with video, audio and HTML5 content. The online dashboard lets content providers target groups of users based on device, geography, demographics and other criteria.
  • statMobi Mobile Analytics – Provides app developers with comprehensive set of analytic tools for measuring app usage, both online and offline. statMobi continuously captures metrics even when a device is offline during app use, then sends them once the device is back online. Very cool!
  • LiveUpdates OTA App Updating – Apps created using the appMobi XDK can now push new content, features, bug fixes and new versions over-the-air right to users’ devices, without requiring an app store update.

As a reminder, during the Mobile World Congress, appMobi unveiled MobiUs, a mobile Web browser technology that allows developers to create web apps that work like native applications.
