HP Launches ePrint Cloud Service for iPhone

HP has expanded their ePrint cloud printing service currently available for BlackBerry to the iPhone. This means if you need hard copies of some documents or pictures on your iPhone, you can shoot those files off to nearby commercial printing centers or printers on your corporate network. Official HP Managed Print Services locations, such as ones found at FedEx or Hilton hotels, can be pulled up based on how close they are to your current location thanks to the iPhone’s GPS.

Although sometimes I scratch my head, wondering why I still even own a printer, in the business world they’re still alive and well. It’s interesting that HP would still develop something for the iPhone, given that they now have a vested interest in exclusively promoting webOS now, but it’s a big company with a lot of vested interest in enterprise services (not to mention printers and PCs).

In any case, HP ePrint is available for download on the at the App Store link below.
