Samsung officially launched the Google Nexus S in India, which will be the first Gingerbread phone available in the country. Interested users will be able to grab Sammy’s baby from multiple retailers for Rs.29950, which is about $665. Kinda steep considering that you could also get the phone for less through eBay.
In addition, the Korean company also unveiled 5 other Android smartphones – Galaxy Pro, Fit, Ace, Pop and Pop CDMA, which will be available for 13750, 11870, 17040, 10290 and 10500 INR, respectively.
As a reminder, the Nexus S comes with a 4-inch curved touchscreen, 16GB of built-in storage, 5-megapixel camera with HD video recording capability, NFC chip (enabling contactless payments), HSPA and Wi-Fi connectivity support, Bluetooth, GPS and an array of other sensors. In the U.S., T-Mobile is Google’s partner, offering the smartphone for $199 on a contract…
