Now that we know when the HTC Sensation 4G will land on T-Mobile’s shelves, some may be excited to know that the official sign-up page for the hot handset has gone live on Magenta’s site. If you want to stay up to date with T-Mobile’s new flagship phone, you should sign up now.

The Sensation has become one of the most anticipated handsets of 2011, and we’re just in June. While we can expect more exiting products from HTC later this year the Sensation will likely maintain its allure even after year’s end. The handset sports a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-core processor, 4.3 qHD display, 8 megapixel rear camera with 1080p HD video capture, VGA front-facing camera, 1GB of RAM, and Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread with the latest version the HTC Sense. Needless to say, the Sensation is a beast of an Android phone.

The Sensation will be facing some stiff competition in the coming months, as its 3D-toting brother, the EVO 3D, is expected to land on Sprint later this month. We’re also looking forward to seeing the Samsung Galaxy S 2 land in the US sometime this year as well, which may be the biggest threat to HTC’s offerings. The Sensation may be T-Mobile’s flagship handset for some time going forward, but the leaked 2011 roadmap suggests that there are plenty of options on the way for the carrier.

Hackers an geeks alike were a little turned off when we found out that the Sensation would ship with a locked bootloader, but HTC has announced that it will no longer be locking bootloaders on its Android handsets going forward. While this is certainly good news for those who want to apply mods or flash custom ROMs to their phones, it wasn’t clear whether or not the Sensation would now ship with an unlocked, or at least unlockable bootloader.

While the MyTouch line and G-series will always be in the forefront of T-Mobile’s offerings, the Sensation brings the fight and offers up some of the best features you can find on a smartphone today. Head over to T-Mobile’s sign-up page here to stay in the know about this sexy new handset.
