Aside from the Xperia Ray and Active, Sony Ericsson also unveiled another device in the last couple of days. Simply called “txt,” it’s an entry-level feature phone — and a smaller brother of the txt pro — made for folks who text a lot and like to cyber-schmooze while on the go. That said, this compact candybar comes with a “friends” application that enables users to keep up with their social activities on Facebook, Twitter and Google Talk.
As for the specs, the Sony Ericsson txt sports a 2.6-inch QVGA display, 3.2-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi connectivity, FM radio, 3.5mm headset jack, Bluetooth and a memory card slot. It will be released at some point in the third quarter in few color options, including white, black, pink and blue. No word on the price but I doubt this little fella’ will break anyone’s bank — quite the contrary I expect it to be offered free of charge on most contracts.
