The best part of the Skype for Android upgrade last week was that it brought video calling to the popular mobile platform. The bad part is that it’s pretty limited since it only works with Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro and Neo, the HTC Desire S and the Google Nexus S. However, a video calling APK was released last week that allows Skype video calling for Android to work on a variety of devices, including the Nexus S 4G for Sprint.
Eventually, the video calling feature on Skype for Android will make its way to other devices, but for now this fix seems to work on a handful of devices. And Skype has been more than happy to endorse this fact on Twitter, too. So if you own a Nexus S 4G and you’re aching to try out video calling on Skype for Android, give the hotfix a try and let us know how it works out for you!
In the meantime, check out the video below to see what you can do with the new video calling feature.
