New BlackBerry Enterprise Service plans on Rogers

Alongside some new Rogers plans for BlackBerry Internet Service we had seen earlier, it looks like enterprise customers will also be enjoying some new options as of October 1st. Before you start crying foul, just keep in mind that the BES handles a whole lot of compression, so you get more bang for byte.

  • $40/7 MB (same as now)
  • $45/1 GB (vs. 300 MB now)
  • $75/3 GB (brand new)

The new Flex Rates will also be making the jump to enterprise, giving users the ability to automatically jump up a payment tier when they go over their current limit.

  • $45/500 MB
  • $50/1 GB
  • $65/2 GB
  • $80/3 GB
  • $100/5 GB

Just like with the upcoming BIS plans, data overage charges will be capped at $100, which is a beautiful thing when you’re used to paying upwards of $10/MB. On the whole, Rogers is smartening up and bringing some proper competitive pricing to Canada, but on a global scale they still have a long ways to go.
