Sad news if you’ve been looking to grab yourself the Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro. The Swedish-Japanese handset maker decided to postpone its launch to the fourth quarter. The information comes from Somobile which spotted the device at Carphone Warehouse’s website, listing October 2011 as the availability date. Later on, Somobile got the confirmation right from the horse’s mouth – Sony Ericsson’s representative.
Although I like QWERTY phones I’m not craving for Sony Ericsson’s device. The reason is obvious – I already have the HTC Desire Z and Xperia Pro is not much of an upgrade, if it’s an upgrade at all. Don’t get me wrong, I do want such a device but with a slightly larger screen (4 or 4.3 inches) and dual-core processor under the hood. Something I already described in a separate article few days ago.
On the other hand, I also have no doubts Sony Ericsson will manage to move enough of the Xperia Pro units, presuming it’s not too expensive.
