With T-Mobile making a serious push to bring their rapidly growing 1700Mhz AWS 3G network up and running across the nation in anticipation of the HTC Dream hitting T-Mobile’s network as the Android-powered T-Mobile G1, it makes sense that T-Mobile would want to show customers just how extensive their 3G network really is. The once-mythical Google Phone was just announced today for a mid-October launch at a uber-competitive $179 price-point. And, paired with cheap monthly rate plans, T-Mobile’s HTC-made G1 Android smartphone is expected to sell like hotcakes – it sure would be nice to know just where T-Mobile’s 3G network is good to go.
Worry not, 3G web-surfer, T-Mobile has gone live with 3G network coverage information on their online network coverage maps.
In cities that already have 3G coverage, T-Mobile’s 3G metro-footprint looks good indeed. Simply hit up T-Mobile’s coverage map here and make sure to check the “Display Data” box below the map.
