The folks over at MacRumors have gone above and beyond when it comes to rumor-mongering, as the company has taken the supposed leaked iPhone 5 cases and created some 3D models. Is this what the next iPhone will look like?

The Apple iPhone 5 will reportedly be thinner than the current model, will have roughly a 4-inch screen and it should have boosted internals. We expect a dual-core processor, a bump in the RAM and perhaps an 8-megapixel camera.

If you think this looks like a larger iPod touch or a really small iPad 2, you wouldn’t be alone. I could see Apple definitely taking this path because it always seems to want to makes its devices as thin as possible.

You know, I’ve recently switched to the iPhone 4 and I’m just as eager as all of you to see the next model but frankly, some of this is getting old. The next Apple iPhone will be coming out soon, will be thinner, better and may have a larger screen. Let’s just see it already Apple.

If this is what the next iPhone turns out to be, what do you think? Hit the “via” link below for multiple more renders of the supposed iPhone 5 on the MacRumors site.
