Google Voice data can now be liberated with new Takeout support

The Data Liberation front is at it again at Google, and this time around all the data you’ve created within Google Voice can now be exported and downloaded as a backup with Google Takeout. Even though you have everything stored in the cloud with Google Voice, Big G knows you may want it elsewhere, so the new Takeout support is more than welcomed.

If you’ve never heard of Google Takeout, all you really need to know is that the search giant will allow you to export and download all your data from its services you use. You can grab your data from the following Google services now:  +1’s, Buzz, Contacts, Google + Stream and Circles, Google Profile, Picasa Web Albums, and now Google Voice data, including voicemails, texts, call history and more.

As creepy as it can be for a company like Google to know so much about you, at least it’s nice enough to allow you to grab the data it has about you for yourself. Of course, Google knows a lot more about you than how many +1’s you have and the sort, as it’s holding on to a majority of the search inquiries you’ve thrown into that blank box. Either way, we’re glad to see the options we do have available with Google Takeout.

As per usual, Google made a spiffy little video along with the announcement that you see below. We just don’t see the Data Liberation Front enough, and they’re looking as good as ever in those flashy beige get-ups and cultish attitude.
