We’ve already told you that the classic Amiga title Another World is heading to the AppStore and today we’re pleased to announce we have the date and price. DotEmu will launch the game on September 22nd, offering it for $4.99, which seems kinda lot for a mobile game by today’s standards. Then again, not that many apps make you almost 20 years younger these days, right?

Those living under a rock (or just too young to remember the original game), should consult the game’s dedicated page at Wikipedia to get all the details about the storyline.

What iOS device owners care about are specifics – yep, the graphics have been remastered but you can still play with the original pixels. Simply swipe with two fingers across the screen to change between the game’s original graphics and shiny new HD ones.

When it comes to controls, you can either rely on a virtual D-pad or try new touch controls, which are optimized for the “touchscreen era.” Can’t wait… 😉
