HTC unveiled another Android device, this time tailored toward the first-time smartphone buyers. As such, the HTC Explorer (which BTW we’ve already seen before) is an entry-level device with a 3.2-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen, 3-megapixel camera, while 600MHz CPU should be good enough to handle all processing needs (or so we hope). Needless to say, just like any other HTC-made Android device, this one too comes with the company’s custom UI, HTC Sense, that runs on top of Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread.

The price was not unveiled, but we’re most likely talking about a “below $200” product. The HTC Explorer will be available across key markets in EMEA and Asia from the fourth quarter of 2011 in few color options — including Metallic Black, Active Black and Metallic Navy. In addition, users will also able to customize the phone with a range of optional back covers like Metallic Blue, Metallic Orange, Metallic White and Metallic Purple…
