T-Mobile is opposing Apple’s attempt to block Samsung products from being sold in the United States due to patent disputes.

T-Mobile said it respects intellectual property rights but it said that the blocking of Samsung products are a drastic move that would cause “unnecessary harm” to the carriers’ customers because Samsung products feature prominently in its marketing push.

“At this late date, T-Mobile could not find comparable replacement products for the 2011 holiday season,” the company said.

If you’re thinking this is because T-Mobile likely isn’t getting the iPhone, you’re probably wrong because Verizon Wireless has also sided with Samsung on this one and it sells Apple’s iPhone and is expected to get the new one shortly.

I guess carriers think that blocking awesome products is a bad idea.
