You’ve probably already seen Verizon Wireless’ recently unveiled Samsung Stratosphere. If you haven’t, make sure to check out our hands-on post where we briefly check the first QWERTY keyboard-equipped Android smartphone that sings along the Big Red carrier’s LTE network. It is available for $149.99 with a new two-year contract, but we’re hearing Staples will sell it for less. $70 less to be more precise, bringing the phone’s price down to $79.99. Needless to say, you’ll still have to put your signature on the same two-year contract, but that’s something you would have to do anyways.
Aside from the mentioned keyboard and LTE radio, the Stratosphere also rocks a single-core 1GHz processor, 4-inch Super AMOLED WVGA touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera with 480p (VGA) video recording on the back, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n connectivity (2.4 and 5 GHz), Bluetooth 3.0, while Android 2.3 Gingerbread is running the show.
Not exactly a high-end device, but I guess good enough for many users out there. What do you say?
