Wind Mobile has just announced six new handsets leading up to the holiday season. Among them is the first AWS-capable BlackBerry Torch 9810, its touchscreen cousin, the Torch 9860, and the Curve 9360. The Bold 9900 will also be hitting shelves this Thursday for $169 on a WINDtab+ (which offers up to $150 subsidized so long as you’re willing to stick with Wind for awhile). A smattering of entry-level phones will be joining all of these new OS 7 BlackBerry devices, including the Nokia 500, Huawei U8350, and the U2801.
There’s also word that Wind Mobile will be releasing a more entry-level Bold 9790, which we’re expecting RIM to announce at DevCon this week. Maybe T-Mobile will take the opportunity tomorrow to announce their version, too.
Any Canadians in the house interested in picking up any of these new BlackBerry devices? My contract with Rogers is up, and I’d love to go with Wind, but the up-front cost for an upper-end BlackBerry is a little steep. Maybe with the WINDtab, the 9810 will be reasonably priced…
