After the iOS app, Alaska Airlines is showing some respect to the Android community. The free to download application allows travelers to do many things while on the go, including access mobile boarding pass, check in for flights, track flight status and boarding information, create text or email flight alerts, select and change seats, create a parking reminder, and add notes for hotel and car reservations. In addition, you can also access “My Trips” to view multiple flight itineraries and track your Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan account information.

Needless to say if you’re a frequent traveler at Alaska Airlines and own an Android smartphone (or the iPhone), this is one of your must-have apps.

And before I let you go, we have the words of Alaska Airlines’ Curtis Kopf to share – he said: “The Android travel app follows the successful launch of a similar iPhone app in August and is part of Alaska Airlines’ focus on using technology and innovation to make our customers’ travels easier and more enjoyable. It’s like a personal concierge service – it tracks your journey right along with you and provides easy access to the travel information that matters most.”
