Popular multi-network instant messaging app IM+ for Android got another update to make it fully compatible with Android-based tablets. But that’s just one thing, this release also packs other changes, including:

  • Support of Android’s native “Share” feature.
  • Select the text you would like to share in any app, press “Share” button and share it using IM+
  • IM+ widget that allows you to quickly change your status right from your home screen
  • Typing notifications
  • Ability to upload your avatar right from IM+ (click on configured account in “Accounts” and select “Manage Avatar”)
  • Group chats for AOL/AIM/iChat and ICQ
  • Added support for Mail.Ru instant messaging service
  • Options to select a different notification (sound/vibrate/LED) for active chat
  • All chats are saved under Chats tab when IM+ is restarted/reconnected

In addition, there are other under-the-hood updates that make IM+ slightly more battery friendly app.

Finally, you should know that IM+ will be available for $4.99 during the next couple of days, after which the price goes back to $9.99. In other words, if you wanted to grab it – act now!
