Nokia is out with results of the “Life In Balance” survey to show how American use their mobile phones to keep the work-life balance. Here’s what they’ve found out:
- 53% of Americans have been interrupted by a work-related phone call or email while in the bathroom
- 24% of respondents have allowed a call or email to interrupt them while in the throes of passion and 23% on a date
- 59% of working Americans never turn off their mobile device
- At the same time, 75% of respondents say technology plays a primary role in helping them balance their work and home life
- 62% have had their personal lives interrupted by work 10 or fewer times each week
- while 65% have had their work lives interrupted by a personal matter
Naturally, the idea behind the survey is to promote Nokia and their products. The main device they’re pushing with this campaign/survey is the full QWERTY keyboard equipped Nokia E71, also known as the phone of the year according to 2008 Mobile Choice Awards. For that purpose, the Finnish giant organized two events in their Flagship stores in New York (October 21) and Chicago (October 23), where they’ve invited Julie Morgenstern, a bestselling author and time management and organization expert, to share her sage advice with attendees.
