This is one of those “beyond mobile” news when we have Rovio teaming-up with Focus Multimedia to reach folks who still haven’t tried out Angry Birds. The latter will launch a PC-based version of the game on a disc (yes that’s a CD) and sell it for 10 GBP.
The scheduled release date is set at November 25th, when our British readers may see the popular game in store shelves all around the country.
Now that’s all cool except one thing – that same game is already available for free for Google Chrome users. Why would anyone want to pay for something that’s already free is beyond me. What’s more, the plan is not to stop on a single title, but to expand to Angry Birds Rio just before Christmas, and Angry Birds Seasons at some point in 2012.
Anyway, it’s most likely that you won’t be among those paying for Angry Birds and it’s your duty to tell everyone you know that they can get the game for free from the Chrome Store…
