Well what do you know – Verizon Wireless may actually launch the DROID 4 on December 8th, as we reported before. Or at least the growing number of information we’re getting about the QWERTY keyboard Android smartphone suggests so.

The latest info we got about Moto’s upcoming device shows us compatible accessories. As you’re about to see, future DROID 4 owners we’ll be able to connect it to a LapDock, HD dock or wireless keyboard with trackpad. I can’t recall seeing such keyboard before and I’m pretty confident it will also be able to sing along other Motorola smartphones like the DROID RAZR, DROID Bionic and Photon 4G.

Despite the onslaught of all-touchscreen devices, I’m sure there’s still a market for folks looking for a smartphone with physical keyboard. Once launched, the DROID 4 will be the best such device on the market. It comes with a 4-inch qHD touchscreen, LTE and EV-DO connectivity, Wi-Fi, GPS, 8-megapixel camera on the back, while Android 2.3 Gingerbread is running the show (upgradable to Ice Cream Sandwich).
