We knew this day was coming ever since Square Enix first announced Chrono Trigger was in development to be released some time this month. Thankfully, we didn’t have to wait until the end of the month as Square Enix has just made Chrono Trigger available for the iPhone.
Chrono Trigger for iPhone brings the Super NES RPG classic to the modern age by making it available in all of its 16-bit glory on your iPhone. The game has been enhanced with graphics that have been optimized for the iPhone, as well as intuitive touch screen controls that makes the gameplay experience that much more smooth. The overall game experience has been left unchanged, although two additional areas from the Nintendo DS remake, Dimensional Vortex and Lost Sanctum, have been included in today’s release.
If you didn’t get to experience the golden age of the 16-bit era and enjoy RPGs, then you absolutely need to purchase Chrono Trigger as it’s a game that is completely timeless in its presentation, deep story, and easy-to-understand yet deep combat system. Oh, and did I mention the game has multiple endings? Yea, you’re going to like this game.
