Steve Ballmer

In an interview with USA Today’s David Lieberman at the sixth USA TODAY CEO Forum, Steve Ballmer was asked about the upcoming iPhone. Commenting on the Apple’s handset, Ballmer stated its doubts that iPhone will get any significant market share. According to Microsoft’s CEO, we could expect to see iPhone taking anywhere between 2% and 3% of the market. Ballmer added that Microsoft is working to get its mobile OS in many handsets, even quoting such large and at the moment still very far away figures as 60% to 80% of the smartphone market. Current figures from Canalys go the other way around, suggesting the Symbian OS is still a dominant force with its 70%+ market share. (via: MacDailyNews)
