The Behemoth has got to be one of my favorite indie developers as all of their games have certainly kept me and other gamers entertained for years. Alien Hominid & Castle Crashers are two XBLA titles that I thoroughly enjoyed when they were released, which is why I was excited to learn The Behemoth has developed a game on the iOS platform. The game is called Alien Hominid: PDA Games, and it’s fantastic.

Alien Hominid: PDA Games is a side-scrolling platformer that was originally included in Alien Hominid as a multipayer mode allowing players to play with their friends across over 200 levels. The iOS version of Alien Hominid: PDA Games has artwork that’s been redone by The Behemoth team to give a fresh and HD feel, 23 achievements, runs at 60 frames per second, and comes with over 500 levels after a $.99 in-app purchase.

If you’re a fan of The Behemoth games and you’re counting down the days until BattleBlock Theater is released, then the 500+ levels in Alien Hominid: PDA Games will certainly keep you busy for quite some time. It’s free to download and play through the first 15 levels, and if you like what you see, you can pay for over 500 levels for $.99.
