Boost Mobile will start selling the LG Marquee on January 23 for $279.99 (excluding taxes). As you probably know from our previous post on LG’s smartphone, that money gets you a decent Android smartphone that sports a single-core 1GHz processor, 4-inch WVGA Nova display, 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity, 5-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing one, GPS, 4GB of built-in storage, memory card slot, while Android 2.3 Gingerbread is running the show.

The carrier suggests its no-contract $55 Android Monthly Unlimited plan with the Marquee that comes with unlimited nationwide talk, text messaging, Web, email and calls to 411.

Alongside the new phone, Boost and LG are launching “Party Like a Celebrity” sweepstakes, offering consumers a chance to win two grand prizes, which include a trip to Los Angeles, an LG Marquee with two months of Android Monthly Unlimited no-contract service, a celebrity makeover, and a Hollywood shopping spree…
