LG Spectrum now available on Verizon for $199

The LG Spectrum is now available from Verizon Wireless for about $200 with a new two-year contract and the latest 4G LTE smartphone packs quite the punch with a beautiful HD screen.

The device isn’t dramatically different from the LG Nitro we saw earlier but the Spectrum is for Verizon Wireless and it will be a 4G LTE handset. We can also look forward to a 4.5 True HD IPS display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 8 megapixel camera on the rear, 1.3 megapixel camera and all the other connectivity goodies you’d expect from a smartphone like this.

While we’ve seen multiple phones with a 720p screen, the True HD IPS display is quite a sight to behold and I found LG’s HD screens to be some of the best I’ve ever seen when it comes to color clarity, brightness and sheer “wow” factor. If you get a chance to swing by a Verizon store, go ahead and take a look at the Spectrum’s screen for yourself. We weren’t in love with what LG did with the software on the Nitro but we’ll reserve judgement on the Spectrum until we get a chance to really dig into it.

Any of you planning to pick up this bad boy?
