A company called Exideas released an update to its MessagEase application, which is yet another virtual keyboard app for Android. However, unlike other solutions on the market, MessagEase doesn’t sport a QWERTY layout — rather their keyboard consists of only 9 big keys that, when coupled with text prediction magic, promises to deliver speeds of over 60 words per minute, while at the same time improving accuracy and reducing errors. Moreover, Exideas also says their keyboard is better for one-hand use.
When compared to the first MessagEase app, the new version brings improved gesture recognition, expanded word lists, enhanced form entry text prediction, macros that recall unlimited predefined text with a few shortcut letters, and an easy-to-use install wizard. Moreover, there’s voice-enabled speech input (powered by Google Voice) and word prediction for nine different languages.
It’s kinda hard to explain how all this works. It does make sense to use something like this when you can’t use the second hand. You can see MessagEase in action from a short demo video below. Furthermore, you can practice to use the keyboard by downloading a special game that should make you an MessagExpert… or at least Exideas wants us to think like that. Check it out.
