Sony will be releasing Android 4.0 update for two of its tablets at some point in April. Both Tablet P and Tablet S will get their servings of Ice Cream Sandwich, alongside some additional goodies like the ability to access programs recorded on compatible (Sony) Blu-Ray players, activate cameras directly from the lock screens, edit photos in the gallery application and take panoramic photographs.
In the other news, the Japanese giant also announced a Wi-Fi-only version of the Tablet P, which will start selling in Sony’s own backyard on April 21st for ¥50,000 (about $600). Moreover, at that time Sony will also offer interchangeable front and back panels for the flip-based device in few color options — including gold, pink, and blue, each of which will go for ¥5,000 (about $60).
Personally, I like the Tablet S as it’s really easy to hold while reading. However, the Tablet P is completely different beast, the one I don’t understand that much. Heck, I think it’s the stupidest piece of hardware built during the last year… but that’s just me.
