Apple’s new iPad (3rd gen) path to world dominance expands to 21 more countries in April, including 12 new markets this Friday. Customers in South Korea, Brunei, Croatia, Cyprus, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Malaysia, Panama, St. Maarten, Uruguay, and Venezuela will be able to get their hands on the new iPad on April 20th. Colombia, Estonia, India, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, South Africa, and Thailand will see an April 27th release for the new iPad.

Price points for the iPad will reflect those in the US, with a range of $499 – $829 USD depending on storage capacity and network connectivity. These markets will also see the same $100 price cut for the iPad 2 that occurred in all other markets that have carried the new iPad thus far, starting at $399 USD.

As a refresher, the 3rd-generation iPad has a robust feature set, including:

  • Retina display at 2,048 x 1,536 resolution
  • A5X SoC with quad-core graphics
  • 5.0 megapixel iSight rear camera
  • VGA front-facing camera
  • 1GB RAM, 16/32/64 GB internal storage
  • LTE connectivity (where available)
  • 10 hour battery life
