With online movie watching in the U.S. set to double this year, Google keeps expanding the list of movies it offers for rent via YouTube and Google Play. Their latest “catch” is MGM, which joins five of the six major studios and over ten independent movie studios currently offering movies for rent through the search giant’s properties.
If you live in the U.S. and Canada, you will be able to access more than 600 Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer titles, including such classics as West Side Story, Moonstruck, Terminator, Robocop, Rain Man and Rocky. We’ve no idea when this scheme will extend to other countries and can only hope we won’t have to wait for too long.
