Verizon Wireless launched a successor to the Samsung Gusto feature phone simply called Gusto 2. The clamshell shaped device sports a “smooth and compact design” with large contoured keypad, making it ideal for seniors (or at least I think so). Moreover, it packs a 1.3-megapixel camera, 2-inch main display, GPS (with VZ Navigator support), Fake Call capability, Facebook and Twitter integration, as well as one-touch shortcut keys for quick access to emergency contacts, voicemail, speakerphone, camera and messaging. Yep, it’s a seniors’ next phone that also features DyVE (Dynamic Voice Enhancement) with noise suppression technology to help reduce background noise levels and enhance speech quality.
When it come to pricing, the Samsung Gusto 2 will be available in the coming weeks in Verizon stores for $79.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate (in the form of a debit card) with a new two-year customer agreement.
