Trip organizer and travel planning app with over 9 million users, WorldMate, launched a new iPad app. Built from the ground-up, the application takes full advantage of the new iPad’s Retina Display, making your trip planning a more enjoyable experience. Moreover, it will save all of the trip details offline, allowing for full access even when there is no Internet connection.

Some other app features, include:

  • Itinerary Management that starts by forwarding confirmation emails from over 1300 travel providers to WorldMate, which will then automatically build the trip itinerary.
  • Calendar Sync across iPad, iPhone and Mac.
  • Flight Alerts for gate changes, delays and cancellations.
  • Flight Status for over 99% of U.S. flights and 86% worldwide.
  • Flight Schedules for over 1,000 airlines.
  • Ability to search for alternative flights.
  • See which LinkedIn contacts are nearby, share stuff via Facebook.
  • Ability to share trips with friends, family and colleagues.

And that’s not all, with WorldMate also packing other useful feats like local search, currency converter, weather forecasts and tip calculator.

WorldMate is free to download, though there’s also the “Gold” version that brings few additional features for $2.99…
