CTIA 2012: Samsung Focus 2 hands-on [Video]

We’re here in New Orleans and getting ready for the CTIA show to officially kick off. Today Samsung announced the follow-up to the original Focus with the Focus 2. The handset is definite made for the budget conscious user and will come in at a very low $50 on a new contract.

Rocking a 4 inch Super AMOLED WVGA display, 1.4GHz single-core processor, 5 megapixel camera, 8GB storage, VGA front-facing camera, and a 1750 mAh battery, the Focus 2 is a well-rounded Windows Phone that may not be the best for the power users out there but it will certainly get the job done for most daily tasks. The specs are relatively similar to that of the Lumia 900, but it comes in at a full $49 cheaper, so it will mostly come down to personal preference.

The design of the handset looks similar to the Galaxy S III’s design. A chrome border lines the outside of the device, which lends to a curved look that carries onto the back of the device. Overall, it’s a decent phone at an awesome price and that’s definitely hard to beat.

Check out the video and pictures below to get more of the Samsung Focus 2.
