T-Mobile and HTC will start rolling out Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Sensation 4G tomorrow, with users getting the new software over-the-air. However, as these sort of updates are known for their staged releases, don’t worry if your Sensation 4G doesn’t inform you it’s ready for download – once the new firmware is out, you’ll get it in the next couple of days or weeks.
Aside from packing the latest version of Android, software version 3.32.531.14710RD also brings other changes and improvements, including new Sense UI (version 3.6), system bar enhancements to easily view recent apps, support for re-sizeable widgets, lock screen actions like the ability to pull down notifications and adjust volume while device is locked, data usage controls, Face Unlock, home screen folders, improved battery life and menu structure.
So starting from tomorrow, you’re free to tap “Settings,” then “About phone” and check for the new software version from “HTC Software updates.”
