Samsung unveiled a new device in its own backyard – Galaxy R Style. Set to be offered by all major carriers in Korea — including SKT, KT and LG U+ — it comes with a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen, LTE connectivity support, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 5-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, NFC, T-DMB mobile TV, GPS and 16GB of built-in memory, while Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is running the show.
In other words, the Galaxy R Style is like a slightly modified version of the Galaxy S II with worse camera (5 vs 8 megapixels) and in that sense I doubt it will be released outside of Korean peninsula — Samsung already offers similar products and as far as I can tell, adding another such device won’t change a thing.
As for the price, the Samsung Galaxy R Style will sell for 700,000 won, which translates into some $594…
