My carrier contract is about to expire in a month or so and I’ll definitely use the opportunity to get the new phone with a new two-year contract. Two devices that top my list are the Samsung Galaxy S III and HTC One X, both rocking pretty similar specs. As an existing (and pretty satisfied) Galaxy S II owner I’m inclined to get Samsung’s smartphone, even though its camera isn’t as great as the one HTC’s baby sports. However, SGS3 does have a slightly bigger screen which is always a plus, as long as the phone remains pocketable — unlike the Galaxy Note, which can hardly fit my pockets.
As you probably know, both HTC One X and Samsung Galaxy S III are awesome devices and one could hardly go wrong by picking any of the two. Both come with quad-core processors (though some versions of HTC One X use Qualcomm’s dual-core Snapdragon S4), 720p HD screens, HSPA+, Wi-Fi, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, a ton of built-in storage and so on.
On the other hand, if I’m going to commit myself on another 24-month contract I want to be extra careful, since we’re talking about the device I’ll be using for quite some time (aside from the phones I get to test every now and then).
So if I don’t hear anything bad about Samsung’s flagship phone in the next couple of weeks I’ll most likely continue to be the Korean company’s customer. What about you? Presuming you want an Android phone, I’m eager to know which of the two phones you like better? Is it the HTC One X or Samsung Galaxy S III?
