Ladies and gents, it is my great pleasure to spread the good great news – T-Mobile has started rolling out the Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Samsung Galaxy S II. Unfortunately though, it’s not an over-the-air things, rather requiring that you have Samsung Kies software installed on your computer. Then again, that shouldn’t be the problem considering all the benefits the latest version of Android brings to the table, performance and stability improvements included. Moreover, there are voicemail and Wi-Fi calling enhancements, as well as the all new TouchWiz UI.

To make transition from the Gingerbread smoother, T-Mobile also prepared a special document, Top 10 things to know about TouchWiz Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) update, which should help get you in the mood.

Finally, it’s important to note that after the update your Homescreen layout will be wiped out. Yes it can be a pain, but the benefits are greater. 😉

So what are you waiting for? Connect your Galaxy S II, fire-up Samsung Kies and look for updates. Good luck!
