Samsung microSD cardSo far, you’ve probably seen a microSD card. It was always amazing to me how much data can you put on such a small place. We had 4GB microSD cards announced just a couple of months ago, and now Samsung doubled that amount to reach 8GB.

Samsung’s 8GB microSD card is made for mobile phones and will offer data transfer rates of 16MB/sec for reads, and 6MB/sec for writes. The bad news about it — Korean giant has no plans to start shipping the new memory modules until mid-2008. I guess phone manufacturers will also have to modify their file systems… (via: PcWorld Blogs)
