Huawei unveiled a new member of its tablet portfolio – MediaPad 7 Lite. The details about the device are scarce at the moment, and all we know is that it has a 7-inch 1280×800 pixels touchscreen, Wi-Fi and optional 3G connectivity, some camera on the back and metal unibody, while Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is running the show. We’ve no idea which processor is under the hood though we can speculate…

Since the original MediaPad 7 has a dual-core processor, this one probably comes with some single-core SoC. If that’s true, we would expect it to sell for around $100 — after all, Nexus 7 rocks a quad-core processor and costs $200.

Hopefully, Huawei will also offer some neat accessories with the new tablet, like the ever useful keyboard dock, which will be available for the MediaPad 10 FHD.

The Chinese company also failed to mention the release date and markets it will target with the new tablet. Additional information will probably be released soon and in the meantime – you can check out their website for few more photos of the MediaPad 7 Lite.
