Sony Xperia Mint LT30p leaked before its official announcement

One of the devices Sony may announce at its event at the end of August is Sony Xperia Mint LT30p, which we’ve previously seen getting certification from the Bluetooth SIG. Now, thanks to the savvy ninjas from Russian website Mobile-Review, we have more details to share about it.

It is said that the Mint will come with a 4.3-inch 720p screen a la Xperia S. Qualcomm’s powerful dual-core Snapdragon S4 SoC will provide the processing power, while 13-megapixel camera on the back will make sure you can take awesome photos. Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich will run the show right from the bat with Sony’s own UI singing on top.

That’s all nice and cool but if you look at the image above, you’ll see that the Mint isn’t much smaller than Samsung’s Galaxy S III which has a massive 4.8-inch screen. Why that’s the case is beyond me. Today’s Android users want bigger, virtually edge-to-edge screens and in that sense the LT30p doesn’t fit the bill. Sure, the LT30p will have a better camera, but will that help Sony get more customers. What do you think?
