iOS 6 beta 4 now available for developers [Update]

Time is ticking on as we approach the stable release of iOS 6 for the masses. Meanwhile, Apple has been rolling out beta updates for developers and today iOS 6 beta 4 arrives via the standard over-the-air procedure. Not much is known about beta 4 at this time other than the build number, which is 10A5376e. We’ll be sure to update this post with more details as they come in. Comment below if you find anything new!

Update: It seems not all developers are getting the update just yet. My own iPad is having trouble connecting all together. After checking for updates for about a minute, I get a message that says “Unable to Check for Update: An error occurred while checking for a software update.”

9to5Mac already has the full release notes posted, so head there for all the details. There’s plenty of bug fixes as with any beta release. The only new feature someone reported so far is a gesture to launch Siri on the third-generation iPad: swiping up from the very bottom of the screen.

Update 2: The YouTube app is gone in beta 4. Does this have everything to do with the ongoing war between Apple and Google? Most likely. Don’t fret though; if the removal of the YouTube app in this beta is intentional and not a bug, Google will probably have a YouTube app available in the App Store once the official iOS 6 release comes around.

Update 3: Yep. It turns out Google is working on a YouTube app of its own, according to The Verge.
